London Synagogue

London Synagogue:

This large synagogue contained extensive architectural moulding in a clean white limestone. Works included moulded cornices, large curved arches, vast window jambs, panelling and more.

Built against a reinforced concrete frame, these large moulded stones required extensive fixing systems to keep them safely restrained. The setting out within this job was as important as the fitting. With large arches maintaining the alignment of the jambs during building is crucial. This project provided an interesting mixture of skills, attractively showcasing stone as a viable option for any large scale modern structure.
